A wintery kind of day

Sorry for being absent lately, but I am trying to change that and have a lot of exciting things to share with you over then next couple of weeks. Today the weather is a wet and wild one over here in the West and considering spring is around the corner I thought I would share a season inspired layout.

I find that I tend to scrap like the seasons, I get my best grungy darker layouts done when it is dark outside and my fun bright layouts are done in the warmer, sunny months. So that got me thinking am I the only one that does it this way? are you the opposite? do you do the Summer layouts in Winter wishing that the seasons would change?

''Hello''
Sawyers Place exclusive Autumn Colours washi set and Cromwell Flair,
Tim Holtz Distress ink, Crafters Workshop template and Diecut, Prima Template.

Just a simple technique that adds a big punch to your layout, layer strips of washi tape on white cardstock and run it through a die cut machine its a great way to use your washi tape in another way.

So check out the range of Sawyers Place washi tape....

Be Vibrant!!!!

How are you this Sunday? Myself, I am a little bit tired had a 12 hour crop yesterday and when ever I get home from these it takes forever fro my brain to switch off. I wish I could say it was from being productive but at the most I have only ever complete 3 layouts for the 12 hours..... one day I will change that but its great to go and socialize and talk to other adults instead of being interrupted every 2 mins cause you sat down lol.

Today I am sharing another layout using Prima's Sunrise Sunset range, and I wanted to make its a vibrant one for you this week.
See I told you it was vibrant but there's something nice about the pink and orange combination. And all I did was lift the colours from the pattern paper itself, I went over the top of the design and made colours really concentrated.

There's No Substitute.....

Prima; Sunrise Sunset pp, flourishes, flowers and mini alphas,
AC Thickers , Kaisercraft Flowers, Crafters Workshop template,
texture paste, charm, Resin flower, lace, Dylusion mists,
Tim Holtz distress ink.

5 pm inspiration

Have you ever had one of those great ideas that you just couldn't pull off? well this is where the layout came from.... I wanted to show off the collection with out all the inking this week, but for the life of me it wasn't happening. But at 5 pm the inspiration hits right in the middle of the crazy hour!!! Then begs the question of what to do.... scrap or cook dinner?

I love this sheet of Prima Sunrise Sunset paper, with its bold watercolour effect, and considering it would take a lot of time to create that myself its a great time saver, and that is the solution for the above question....

Follow Your Heart

Prima Sunrise Sunset pp's, & Alphas, Prima Flowers & Trinkets,
Kaisercraft resin, Blingology Pearls, lace.

I am still here !!!

I am still here, even though I have neglected my poor blog, but I do have an excuse, flu session has kick into gear in our household and I wish it would just hurry up and leave I have given it its eviction notice however we might have a squatter, but enough about our poor health I hope that you are all well.
This months kit from Sassy Scrapper's arrived on my doorstep the other day ( middle of being sick, you know that part where you think "just take me out and shoot me"), and I must say it made my day, why wouldnt it? it was a box full of the lovely Sunrise Sunset collection. So prepare to get messy this month, my hands are already a multicoloured mess!!!

The best part about this range of papers is the backgrounds give you a guide of how to ink and mist your layout. To start pick your colours out in Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Dylusion mists. When you trim your paper dont forget to keep the off cuts as you can use them as background paper strips. Theres a number of different charms and trinkets that you can use to layer, and dont forget a trip to hubby's shed or bunnings.......

It has been great to finally use all my charms I have been hoarding, might need to go and buy more now lol.
